Have any of you moved/relocated your fuel cap?

I’m thinking of mounting it inside the trunk, but I’m looking for ideas.

Thanks

Are you using a factory tank or aftermarket cell? Plenty of people mount aftermarket fuel cells in their trunks.

I've often thought of relocating Vixen's fuel filler to the top of the quarter behind the back glass like on the 68-72 Chargers. There's enough flat room on the Valiant, but I'm unsure about the Barracuda.

Be sure the fill neck is vented to the outside of the trunk area, otherwise you will have fuel vapor on the trunk and passenger area.

Yes, venting is a must and I’d use a modern style fuel cap that seals 100%.

I would also bring the fuel cap elevation as high as possible.

I do like the idea of bring it up thru the top next to the rear glass. Just need to see if there is room.

Are you relocating due to quarter panel spillage?

This is what I did on my '64 Dart. I am not sure if the Barracuda has the space under the back glass / Trunk area for such an arrangement without looking crappy, It's all hidden in the trunk in the Dart.
