Fuel sending unit question

Having a brain fart this morning and can't remember where the extra flared line on the sending unit connects to. Isn't it the same vent as the one on the tank. It doesn't connect to the fuel pick up . It's just a straight tube

No OEM ever had a second line and it is not a vent. It is an aftermarket sender and that would be for a return line

Ok. Thanks for the response. I couldn't remember how the original one looked. Pulled it months ago and threw the old one in the trash. Ok
