Fuel Tank

What is the best way to dispose of an old tank. I have a new one on the way. Also the fuel that may be contaminated. Gage doesn't work, but more than likely 5 gals or so.

the fuel will evaporate. maybe not b the e right way, but it works.

the local crusher will take tanks here. and anything( of metal )else! LOL

Ask your local scrap yard first. Some around here won't take fuel tanks....

I'll give then a call. I know they will by cars as long as the tanks are empty, so should be ok.

I save old gas for cleaning parts. The older it is, the safer it is. Gets more like diesel over time.

Should I paint the new fuel tank and if so with what to protect it

por 15 and dont put any on the inner sending unit ring. but rust paint will work also like plastic coat.
