Future of the classic car hobby may be unstable per experts?

Whitepunkonnitro you are absolutely spot on about the Chinese and it has already started. I sold a 53 XK120 Jaguar last year that I restored to a Chinese couple that were here on a buying spree. They also purchased a 57 and 65 Corvette to take back to their home land.

I know I'm spot on about it..and I also know that it's just beginning, and that the volume of money and the number of people involved is absolutely mind boggling.
The Chinese government is encouraging the peoples involvement in anything automotive. They want to supply cars to the world, and they know in order to do that, they need a healthy car culture and active participation by a large portion of the population.
The Chinese are building highways and race tracks and sponsoring exhibitions around the country to help feed that interest. They are changing laws concerning the import and registration of special interest cars to make it easier as we speak.
I'd say within the next 3 to 5 years, the movement is going to build its legs, and then once that status symbol of "Crassic American Musercar" has caught on, watch out, it's gonna get crazy!

Manufacturing peaked in this country in 1977. That was 37 years ago. Now we make nothing but federal reserve notes and bombs. Doesnt take a genius to see that we can spend a trillion dollars rebuilding another country, while homeless vets sleep on bus benches. Its by design, and China is gonna clobber us, they may own all the classic cars.
