I always try to give him feedback on his cams so I called him and we BS’d for awhile. He sounds great after having Covid awhile back and being laid up. I’m so glad he’s still punching out cams. This is the one in my 408 that he made for a good friend of mine

What rpm was it tested to?
On what bore and stroke?

Edit… 408, ops!

I talked to him a couple of weeks ago about a slant 6 cam. He was really excited to help. He did sound good. I'm really glad he's recovered well. Jim is good people.

Nice, I got in touch with him through email a few days ago about doing a cam for my 440 build which will go into the truck in my sig and occasionally tow about 5000 lbs. Seems tiny (210* at .050", .430" lift) but I trust his professional opinion, he did a hydraulic roller for my 5.9L Magnum in my Duster in 2018 and it rips, not to mention sounds awesome which is just a bonus to me.

I'm waiting for his cam for my 408 with Trick Flow heads and intake. I didn't know he had Covid, but I'm waiting for his cam for my SBM with TF heads and intake with his recommended parts. I'm going on 2 years waiting for parts for my 408. I chose Jim above all others for my SBM. Get well soon, Jim.

Jim recommended two for my son for his 340 with a set of Speedmaster heads I ported for him. My son is closing on his house in Colorado this month so that project is on hold.

I'm guessing from the zero lash that it's a hydraulic? How does it run?

i can’t remember why i decided to go hydraulic rather than mechanical, it might have been in discussing my build with Jim. I have not assembled the motor yet; that’s next in the major projects list

Neat, where at in CO? I hope he found a good deal and didn't have to offer over asking price lol it's nuts out here. I grew up in State College btw and my mom's family is from eastern PA.

no such luck. He put offers in on about five different houses and they sold for around 80,000.00 over asking price so he’s having one built. He run an Autobody shop and has a side business so he’s doing pretty good.
