CL this morning saw an ad for junk outboard parts, over in Spokane Valley. He called me back, and bla-bla-bla. We talked about what he had, and turns out he has a LOT of junk, "you sound like me" LOL etc etc etc.

And I go, "so my short story is, I was born and raised in Sandpoint, and back then my Dad worked for NAPA. The store owner held the Johnson outboard franchise."

"Well I was raised in Sandpoint, so who are ya?

And it's a guy a year? or two behind me in school, hot rodder, logger/ heavy equipment, moved around over the years, I've run into him here and there briefly. He says I need to come get this stuff before Tuesday because they will be GONE. As in permanently, moving S of Lewiston.

Geez I tell ya...............................

Oh darn. LOL

Happened to me once

My wife had taken her mom to a doctors appointment and had taken our oldest with them...think he might been 4 at the time

Well, one of the nurses commented on how cool it was out 4 year old spoke Spanish and English, so my wife said, that's nothing...he also speaks Dutch

Come to find out this nurse is married to a Dutchman aswell
So they exchanges numbers and we met for coffee one day
Now, the Netherlands isn't a very big country...but we were having coffee 5000 miles away from it, so I was pretty tickled to find another Dutchman (and I mean a real one, not the dime a dozen dutchmen you see here whose family came over in the late 1700s and still clings to it)
So he tells me where he was from...same county as me, in fact, only one city over...not only did I go to high-school in that city, I used to have a paper route on the very street he lived on.
Funny enough, we never met over there
