Some pics of my 8 3/4 rear.
3.55 sure-grip is ready, now doing the brakes.
I did one side at a time, so I wouldnt get them mixxed up.
Hopefully will have the other side done tomorrow.
Should be a nice unit when done.

hey johnny did you do the brakes yourself or did you get them from a guy on ebay? are they bare metal or silver painted? did you change out the rear axels to the larger bolt pattern as well?

I did the brakes myself, brake parts (hardware, shoes) are from carquest.

I blasted the backing plates, painted the outside satin black along with the housing. Bare metal on the inside with a light clear coat.

Sticking with small bolt for now. Have a set of rallye and steel wheels for the car. Both with good tires.

Anybody can re-do their brakes. Take a digital pic of each side before you start. I took one side apart and put it back together untill I was comfortable with it. I suggest doing one side at a time. That way you dont mix your parts, and can use the other side for reference. You can do it !!!

All done !!
Lash is set, new brakes & seals. 355 Sure-Grip Ready to go !!!

Thanks all for the kind words.
Take care.
John
