I think I saw in one of Leanna's recent posts that she may have one or two of the "commando fins" laying around the shop.... :D

If ya' ask her nicely, you may be able to work out a deal with her for it. But I don't want to speak for her... :-#

A good Idea for sure men, but I think a custom made one would be more fitting, the /6 Valve cover is allot longer, but worth looking into.

Dang ya all started the party without me!?! :-D

Mike, thank you!! I'm so happy to see that you like the results. Ziggy the Shop Cat was pretty helpful with Quality Control as usual ("Mrrrowwwww ya missed a little dent right there"). Karl's right that I have a couple leftover Commando fins but working them in with the ribs would be a challenge.

Please get me a few pics for the Customers' Rides section of my website when you get it installed Mike. I'm honored to have a hand in the famous Victoria!

Thanks to all for the kind words and for starting my day off with a big smile! I wore out my Thanks button for the day already. :-D FABO ROCKS!!!

We had to get everyone together before you got here so we could yell "Surprise!!!".... We didn't want to let the 'cat' out of the bag.... (pun intended) :hello2:

I wasn't sure if the V-8 ribs would fit the slant valve cover, but it was worth mentioning in case it would.... You have to look into all posibilities so you make the right decision. Keep an open mind, then if it won't work, move on to plan B or C etc....

Speaking of ribs.... Guess what we are having for dinner tonight?? Right, ribs.... Woohoo! (Like a camel on Wednesday...)

I gotta go to the farm stand and pick up some corn later. They pick it either last night or this morning. Fresh off the stalk! It's really good this year. My oldest son has been seen eating as many as 6 in a sitting... And will eat it many days in a row and still hasn't gotten sick of them yet.

Here's a funny story:

I went there a couple weeks agoat 4:30 PM, and a lady in the parking lot saw me pull in and says, "You came just in time, they just got a fresh batch of corn in."

So I go in and am picking out my 18 ears, and another lady is there asking, "Why is the corn wet?" And keeps asking it over and over, kinda bitching about it...

I'm thinking of saying to her, "So you understand the concept of a farm stand?" (how clueless can you be?)

All of the fruits and veges are picked daily either the night before or that morning, so it's as fresh as it can be. Their farm is 45 minutes away, and they must have picked the corn either late morning or early noon. It just stopped raining that morning.... They must have picked the corn shortly after the rain stopped and it didn't have time to dry... A little rain will not hurt the corn, that is what makes it grow.... Duh.... She was so worried about it still being wet. Clueless.... That's proof that it was just picked fresh.

The corn was awesome! I only had to look at 20 ears to get 18 good ones without any "flaws". Then I went home and cooked it for dinner and me and the boys enjoyed fresh sweet corn less than 12 hours off of the stalk! They were so big, I could only fit 6 at a time in my pot to cook them. Nice crispy and sweet and fresh... Nothing like fresh picked corn off the stalk...

Now I made myself hungry. I gotta finish posting and get something to eat.

Once again , awesome job . Can't wait to see it installed . Ought to have some pretty good bling .
