24 years ago she came into my life...and today she left. May 30th 1986, at the age of 18, I bought her. She filled the roll of daily driver, play car and show car, but unfortunatly...the last 8 to 10 years she was neglected. The once proud musclecar sat unused which slowly did harm to her once beautiful body and chrome. I have been diagnost with fibromyalgia, and with the muscle pain and fatigue it is hard for me to do the restoration work I use to do...and I can't afford to pay a shop to do the work. I was selling parts and other things to hold off selling the car as long as I could but couldn't hold off any longer. I came to the decision that it was better for the car to let her go to someone that would give her the attention that I couldn't. She ended up going to another FABO member, jim's 340 dart. I am sure the car went to the right person. Even though I don't own an A body anymore, I would like to check in here from time to time. I have made a lot of friends on this forum and I would like keep them. Thank you to everyone on this forum...and who knows, maybe I will be able to buy another 340 A body someday.

Sorry to hear that 340john, but like you said she has a good home now, and I am sure later on you will get another, can't live without a MOPAR, good luck brother

Why hell yes you need to hang around and keep typing on the threads! Your always going to be a part of this Mopar Family. Sorry to hear about having to sell your baby but keep your chin up, you ain't done yet. I just bet you will have another one in the future.

I hope you retained visitation rights. Sorta eases the pain.

That is how I was able to get my 72 Kaw 500 back.

Bought it new in 72, sold it to a friend in 76. Got it back (in pieces) in 2005.

Best of luck to another Garden Stater, hang in there!

you better not bail on us just because the car is gone. We like to think we,re more than just a pretty car, face.

It took me 17 years to jump back into Mopar muscle. I didn't expect it. It just happened. When the family grew older and finances worked themselves out.
It's like riding a bike. You never lose it. I know you will never lose it.

Thanks guys, I plan on sticking around. I know I will get another one someday.

Hey 340, sorry to hear about your health setback. Follow the guidelines and go with the flow. You will find the balance. As for the car I like lots of other people on this site know what its like and it stinks. the good news is something will come your way eventually. Big tax refund, lotto (yeah right), casino, something with pennies from heaven will come at some point. At that time the car you want will be around too. Just connect the dots and think positive. Best thoughts to you and your family from ours.
Chas.

Thank you buddy...thats just what I needed to hear. Thats why I've always liked this forum...it's the brotherhood of our members.

Sorry to hear about the Dart, another will come along someday. I hope your health improves and you be sure to hang out here with us!!

Sorry hear about your diagnosis. Please stick around and keep us updated! Your first priority is taking care of yourself, never mind the car for now. I'm betting that the car thinng will work itself out over the coming years.

sorry for the loss of your friend. my wife has that terrible health problem also. i wish you well......

Sorry to hear of your health issues, hope you can find another Mopar in the future.Who knows?Maybe down the road you can get the car back from Jim.

Sorry to hear about the Fibro. A good friend of mine has that and is in constant pain. She has bad days and worse days. The salt on the wound is that doctors try to insist that the pain is all in her head. I pray for all who have this misunderstood disease, and that includes you too, I hope someone can come up with a cure for it.

As another ex oficio A-body owner, and a humble FABO newbie, I want to thank you for being part of this community, and ask and encourage you to stay active here. None of us know what tomorrow brings; how much easier to face it together...

A diagnosis that makes us have to stop doing things that bring's joy in our life's sure is a long bridge to cross.
Lets take it one day at a time 8)
I knew a day would come and it's a hard trasition but it can happen my friend.
I seen your talent and commitment in our Model thread here.
And don't even think about loosing any family here bud
Stay strong and slow down and let's enjoy everyday you bring here to us.

May a fresh early A body set in your drive way again soon

John I'm sure sorry to hear about this. Keep in touch. I pray some day soon God will deliver you of the pain and give you another A-body.

Stay in touch, John. Focus on your health, I'm sure everything else will fall in place, including another A-body for everyone to envy. Wishing you well!

Health issues get a lot of us along the way John, so good luck with your particular problem. But it's the FOLKS, not the CARS, that make this site the best around, so don't you be going anywhere. :)
