Got a new Truck (new to me)

Dang Casey....did you catch that thing surf fishing? :poke:

Kind of interesting the low speed fuel enrichment screw types are of the newer generation carbs to help identify the age of the carb.

That generation of carb usually has that glossy finish on it that cleans up well, especially with an Ultrasonic Cleaner.

Was able to get a glimps of the top side that was protected by the air filter housing and it is nice and clean. The exterior carb body has been exposed to the salt in the air as it was sitting on his car here on the East Coast of Florida, that is common here for being that close to the Atlantic Ocean.

Believe it to be a good buy at $50.00 along with my skills and what I can do with those carbs to get them to run right.

Will look into more tomorrow.

Took another look at that used (corroded) Edelbrock carb for sale ad.

Decided to pass on it. Corrosion and Carburetors are not a good mix. Deep inside the passageways get plugged, then they never run right.

Something to look at, it's like a "make work day" the amount of work going in does not equal the value coming out.
