Hello everyone my name is James and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm in the middle of putting a Duster together for next season I'm no stranger to drag racing ran big blocks for 30 years ran a 9.90 second Road Runner 4 speed. I was a terror in the southeast back in the early 80's I lived in Chevy and Ford country and man did they all hate me. Well I'm retired now kids grown married wife left years ago so I decided to run the entire NHRA circuit next year. This time it's going to be Super Comp class with a small block (Yes a small block) so I will be living in a camper all next summer and blowing a lot of money. Goal is 900+ HP 440 stroked small block racing gas only. My heads came in bare today w9 heads shipping them to someone Monday to get them all done up the block will be another month or so. Anyway soon I will put up pics of everything to see what I am putting together. This video is what got me hooked again my car will be a little different

I figured what the hell it's my time now going for it again while I can.

wonderful , i've had them both and a mopar at the same time as both and i found i was chasing parts for both chevy and the ford with the mopar that i was beating at every chance and it didn't break all the time . so mopar rules in my life . i race but not near as series as you . my 63 sf in street trip runs 11.8 in the 1/4 with a soft street mw package . but this new build with put that motor asunder .

Man always loved the Sport Fury's 11.8 isn't a slouch either. I almost bought a 67 Fury it was a factory 318 might have been a 273 factory 3 on the tree manual. This car had 440 written all over it LOL. Your 63 looks to be in great shape Happy Days I like that.
 
jimmack , my 63 sfgc car has been a race car since the 70's it went 10.73 in 73 at an ahra event for a record with a wild 383 on a 850 cfm carb . but we , my bud got the car from cecil yother of the merose missile fame . this 63 was his tranny guys mother's car that he ran along with cecil's cars . my bud passed away , so now it's up to me to keep it going . that 11.8 motor is now out and a wilder package is going in . new mw ported alum stage 6 heads on a better rb block , roller rock'rs n cam , i still have a couple 63 mw intake as well as a new mp mw intake mw intake . but i've scored a m1 mw dominator carb intake . and i've got a slew of cars still hanging out , and another 63 fury as well .
