I pulled engine and transmission for a complete restoration and just completed re-assembly. After putting all fluids back into engine and transmission, realized transmission fluid dripping on the floor. Fluid seems to be coming from a small threaded hole that the manual says is a governor pressure adjustment. I didn't disassemble any part of the engine or transmission and I don't recall any fitting in this port previously. Hole is on the front of tail shaft slightly ahead of the speedometer cable. Should there be an adjustment screw in there, or would it work just to put in a plug to stop the leak?

There's no governor pressure adjustment. That's where you hook up a gauge to test the governor pressure. That manual must be on of those crappy Haynes manuals that are rarely right. There should be a 1/8" pipe plug in the hole. Install a plug and you should be fine.

Thanks. Appreciate the help. Not too sure where the one went that should have been in there, but I'll put the plug in and we should be good to go.

Your welcome. That is odd that it's missing. Oh well it could be worse. Like some internal problem. At least this is an easy one.
