I'm going to it over the weekend. Hotrods, ratrods, customs, and choppers......nothing later than 1965 allowed. Should be fun and I'll get some pics. Hope to find a bobble head skull for the dart.

This is something my wife is NOT into........but I'm sure she'll see it my way(I'll have the keys). We'll be there Sat. afternoon and will be meeting a mod from an Olds forum. Rod Blackburn, the guy who did the exhaust on my dart, will be taking his ratrod/drag car to the event. He and his wife are nice people. He used a p/u body and the door says "Eastside Ratrod Garage" "No paint allowed".

Going Sat. too.

My buddy took this car out there last year just after he finished it and supposedly came home with a trophy! I am trying to get ahold of him to see if he wants to go back this weekend.

Sorry about the pict quality, camera phone.

I guess there was a Goodguys show in KC this weekend also. Someof my buddies went up to it. He was suppose to call if he ran onto any sweet deals in the swapmeet area. No word yet.

That Good Guys show is just too big. 3000+ cars and MILES of walking around the Kansas Speedway. We've been twice and there is just no way you can see every car and spend the time to really check each one out.

I hate walking past a really nice car that someone has obviously poured their blood sweat and tears into just because I'm too tired to stop and look at another car!

"No billet. No muscle cars." As long as your car was painted flat black, I guess they didn't care what year it was!! I saw a 74 big block Duster, and also a early Valiant. As long as your car looked like it was low buck/built in your driveway, you were in!

I saw some very nice cars...

And some that looked like they were held together with bubble gum and bailing wire...

Bah, I am not ruing the Patina on my car to attend a car show.
Maybe I will show up next year to see if I can get in. No Goodguys either.
They should have a continuation of an "existing" platform rule, so that those on the same family of existing body style are not cut out.
