Hey peeps..
Here's my story.
My parents bought a Copper 1967 Dodge Dart GT Convertible brand new in '67, special ordered in California with factory A/C, AM/FM Radio, Bench Seats and automatic transmission. This car was a daily driver for over 30 years. It passed from parents to sister, to sister, to brother, then to me. In '94 I rebuilt the engine, gave it a new top and paint job. Then in 2000 it died, and due to financial trouble, it sat for nearly 10 years.
When I thought I was getting a job in Cali, I sold the car to a guy who got it running again. I didn't get the job, so I remained, Dart-less in TN until last week, when I bought the car back from the guy I sold it to nearly 5 years ago!
I am now dedicated to doing a full restoration on this family car, and will be turning to these pages for guidance. I look forward to any help you can give me, and will be glad to post progress pics.
Wish me luck!

Welcome neighbor,
Gayle and I (Howard) are just 35 miles South of you

Smyrna- since everyone knows where Nashville is

Hey Howard,
Good to see a neighbor on here!
Funny thing… my mom, (who picked out the color in '67) her name is Gaile too, spelled differently, of course. I have a video of me surprising her by parking the car in the driveway in the same spot it sat in for 10 years. PRICELESS!!
I'll post it soon.

I hope to see you about town. The Dart is going into the shop soon and may not be on the road again for some time. I just don't know where to begin!

Way cool to get it back! Looking forward to seeing progress pics as you work on it!

Just decoded the fender tag on a website..
I had taken a picture of it, so some of the info may be missing because I couldn't read it very well..
Does anybody know about the rarity of vehicles with certain options?
I also know it came with a factory AM/FM radio.

Good luck with your car.

How do you know that it came from the factory with an AM-FM? It should have a corresponing code under the "R". You should be able to get the factory options list for your car from Chrysler Historical.

Because I had the radio for years but it somehow has gone missing. I am going to contact the Chrysler historical and get a build sheet. Thanks.
