Hello to all,

I'm Osiris1960 (aka Frans) Age 59, living in the Netherlands.
Profession automechanic.
Hobbies, motorbikes, cars, boats and women: D
I love classic V8s. I had many,(1970-1985) most were Chevy's: oops:: oops but after the last joke of the government regarding the oldtimer road tax I got rid of them

I still have some speedboats with chevy's V8s and one with an OMC 120 My daily driver is a 2001 Cadillac Seville Northstar .. wonderful car!! .. my girlfriend also drives 1998 Seville.

I also have a Mustang LX-convertible (foxbody). 2.3 from 1989.
3 Kawasaki Vulcans 1500 . 1987, 1988 en a 2001 classic.
2 Yamaha YZF thunderace's 1000

And recently a 1969er 4-door Plymouth Valiant Signet slant six.
I'm converting this to a v8 318 for some reason the project was not completed and I want to do that now.

@kursplat, in the Netherlands we had an oldtimerarrangement for usage of cars older then 25 years: you didn't have to pay roadtaxes. Appr. 4 years ago the goverment decided to drasticly change it into an arrrangement for 40 year old cars & you cannot drive or stall them in public for 3 months per year. Youngtimers can't have diesel fuel or LPG. Protests were quite big among carlovers but the government still pushed through this new law. The whole so called environmental measures made it nearly impossible for the happy oldtimerowner with a normal job to afford an oldtimer daily driver or a projectcar. Roadtaxes are calculated per car (taking in concideration weight & kind of fuel). For my modern Seville I pay 80 € per month on normal petrol, with LPG it will go up to appr € 180,= per month.
