I keep blowing out the fuse for the interior light/something on the fuse box. This is a 20 amp fuse in a 72 Duster. It will also have a short when I put the negative cable to the battery. Any one have schemetics or ideas as to what all that fuse covers.
Thank you for any help.

I believe the door switch is fine, it actuates the door buzzer when I open the door. Any place i can go to find a wiring diagragm for this car? and see what other things this fuse covers?

Have you pulled your light fixture down and examined it yet? possible the wire above headliner has chaffed too.

I did pull the interior light fixture down, It was ok. The steering wheel or the wire going to floor shifter could be possible. i will check that tomorrow.
thanks guys.

Here was the problem. i tracked down after along time. It looks like the previous owner put the wrong bulb in and it melted the bottom of the bulb between the 2 conducters. This is the trunk light and harness.
