Has anyone taken one to the drag way and made a pass with it in your car? If so, how close/accurate was it?

I have a 25 year old Gtech ...was a 10th off and 2mph faster than track times. I would assume a modern one would be very accurate

That’s not to dang bad for a basically new gizmo of the time.

So I was able to dig this up. The guy ran a 14.29 at the strip and GTech pro said he ran a 14.29 as well on the same pass. Awesome, I think I'll have to consider investing in one.

You been watching UTG?

Maybe I can talk my son's into splitting the cost of one with me........

I wonder how accurate they are for 60'

I have the old style RR (rounded body) case.

I used it once and liked it but then the windshield mount broke.

I have a RS232 end screwed in and hope to fabricate a mount using that.

about 18 years ago they had a Gtech that wasn't nearly as sophisticated and me and another guy was out using it. Don't know how accurate it was but I was checking into them about 5 months ago just to see what's out there. Yes, I saw UTG bought one too.

that guy in that link I posted, though, ran a 14.29 and it had it on the dot in his case. That's pretty cool!!! I could really do a lot of tweaking/test and tuning with a gadget like that!!!! Might lose my license too :D :D

I could see myself getting into a lot of trouble with one....

Juz' sayin I don't think accuracy "compared to the strip times" is nearly important as repeatability. These can be a great tuning/ troubleshooting tool. Anything that logs data.
