Do you have flow numbers?

Geez! those intake ports. How much does a 5 gallon bucket flow? LOL

They flow 312/218 @ .600 lift. Flow charts are on hughes web site I tried to post it but cant seem to get it posted. I can look up any #'s you need.

I'm gonna guess 540hp@6100rpm and 565tq at 4400rpm.

hell of a build man, thanks for sharing!

I'd like to know the primary pipe size on the dyno headers Vern, but i'll take a shot...

605hp @ 6400 & 545tq @ 4900

Oldmanrick the headers are 1 5/8

Oh My! :D

You're gonna make good torque regardless, and you certainly have the top end hardware to make some power. Now I just need to guess what rpm the curve starts to roll over? While that combo is crying out for a 1 3/4-1 7/8 step header, I'm going to knock a few hundred rpm's of the top.....So my hp revision is 575hp @ 6100.

Thanks for the opportunity to guess Vern :thumbrig:. It's always humbling when I find out how far off I really was...lol.

OldmanRick Cam rpm is 3500 to 7200 Intake is 3500 to 8500. I will buy the TTi 1 7/8 headers next year just cant swallow the 900.00 after spending almost 12000.00 on this build. It will be on the dyno in 2 weeks. If it don't make real close to 600hp I will sell it and start over.

I sure understand about the header costs.....The're borderline ridiculous. Man I remember when I paid $59 for Hedman's & Thorley's...lol.

You certainly have the makings of a 600+ hp engine. If you get there with the small tubes, and I hope you do, look out when it really starts to breathe...

Good luck when get to the dyno! Oh, and she sure is pretty. :thumbrig:

Thank you, As of right now it's going in my 4 door dart. with 904 auto reverse manual with low gear set dynamic 9.5 converter. 8 3/4 with Detroit locker and 4:30 gears.
I'm hoping it will run low 11's

that should run 10s with no sweat....

and yes you need a roll bar under 11.50

A badass more door. That's gonna be cool.

I love the Dart! Probably the most "muscular" looking 4dr car I've ever seen. I have to assume the frame's are tied, but when it comes to a bar, I guess the only thing from a kit that's usable is the main hoop? And fabing the other bars will surely get pricey. :banghead:

The way I see it, if the engine numbers play out, you'll have two choices.....
1) Keep some weight in it, and shift her at a low enough rpm to stay "slow".
Or
2) Play the "grudge night" game, and run 11.60's @ 95mph. :D

Though there is one other option? Stick with this car, put a big roller cam in it, "cage" it, and run some huge numbers.......National magazine articles to follow .

I'm just having some fun Vern, serious, but fun.....:thumbrig:

515 hp 508 Trq 6300 rpm/ 4200 rpm.
I just finished my build in the spring with bigger intake valves (2.08) different cam . solid roller, (huge lift) 1.65:1 rocker arms, bigger carb and more flow on eddies all around with matching ported victor and with crappy 1 5/8 headers for the dyno, got the big TTI headers on it now.
535 hp 6200
512 ft/lbs 4300

I hope that doesn't disappoint you, cause I was expecting over 600 with mine to but I'm happy with it , it's an evil little small block. If you end up with more than mine than either my builder has his dyno #'s low or yours is high.

556 hp @ 6500 505 tq @ 5000

A large solid roller makes a HUGE difference on desktop dyno. Those heads really need it.

I guess 590hp
