Noisemaker day!
The boys got three new balls with squeekers today. I will cut the squeekers out in a couple days, cause they are known to be eaten and swallowed, but I'll keep a close eye on em, and let my guys have some fun with em first.

Great pix! Clearly I have a Shepard bias tho! Looking at your terrain and those coats I bet you got a kiddie swimming pool for em? And of course the biggest nasty strongest vacuum on planet earth!

Two! Kiddie pools, lol. We play at sun-up, after dark (with glow balls) and as often during the day as I can stand the heat. They are ready 24/7, no matter how hot.
Plus a trash can full of shredded dog hair. Brushing daily. ( German shedders, you know!)

Soooooo…. I have an old T4 Nighthawk in 45acp I just put a call in to see what it would take to have them cut it for an optic. When I purchased the pistol red dot was not even a fantasy for them yet. Now it is a standard up grade. I fear they are gonna sock it to me wanting to reblue etc etc. sure wish they did trade ins. But they do not. Great pistols!

I'd be surprised if it needs a reblue on the the slide, but some of these upper class builders refuse to cut any corner, regardless the cost. I guess if the deburring process gets off the corner and into the flat, it might affect the appearance.
I want to put an optic on my Ronin 45 but I want to get the DRO set up on the milling machine before I tackle that to make it a little easier to hit the hole positions.

You are spot on, when discussing my need with the head of custom shop (who was great by the way) He explained the reblueing was not optional! They are putting their name on it coming out of their custom shop. Long story short to mill, reblue, plate etc was right at 800 bucks. I think I am gonna make a jig and take a run at it myself. I will go super slow with fresh bit and shave vs cut! Worst case I ruin the slide. I can easily get another slide. Where’s Mike @mike240 when I need him!

Looking at swapping this lever gun for a beautiful Dan Wesson. Not sure we will come to an accord as I will need some boot! My buddy has lusted after this rifle for awhile. I have won a lot of bling with this rifle as it is chambered in 38-55. Great long distance caliber. But now that I have had my shoulder replaced I am not satisfied I want to shoot thumpers anymore on a regular basis. And make no mistake this one will thump you. It is however kind of a nudge or push vs a smack for recoil. I might get away with a recoil pad?

Well as I suspected buddy wanted to trade straight across, DW pistol no case no extra barrels not even so much as a barrel wrench for my 38-55. Told him to walk on. Arkansas has changed muzzle load rules on deer hunting to now include straight wall case, that was driving his desire for my rifle.

I've reacquired the bug in my *** for more HK stuff, this year. I'm on a MR/416 building spree [ 3 at the moment]. I've also purchased 5 more SIG, Beretta, and HK rifles.
Someone HELP ME!!

My very first hunting season was just after breaking my (right) collarbone. I had been so excited to go anyway, I shot my first squirrels and grouse with grandpa’s Springfield 12 gauge, LEFT handed!

A funny skill that paid dividends for pheasant. Hunting w/o a dog in standing corn, I could slip just the gun into either row and pop them before they took off.

Maybe only useful with a scatter gun but an option nonetheless!
