Ive never had a good one.Yesterday I fell asleep with my laptop unplugged.I woke up with a dead battery. Now windows wont start up!pos.I had a Fugitisu laptop last for 7 years, It was made in Japan now most computers are from China.Screw China

I've had many HP computers, laptops and printers. All have worked fine. I had a desktop that lasted me 10 years and was still going when I gave it away. (to be fair, I had replaced the power supply once)

My Toshiba laptops have been good but made in China.

Pull out the battery, plug in the power supply, and see if it boots without.

What does the screen do / say? Anything? Does it go through the basic motherboard boot, known as POST? Error message?

Try letting it charge for a while and it will hopefully come back. I think on some when the battery is completely dead plug-in power won't work until the battery comes up a few points. Good luck'

^^^ good point.

Sometimes they also get "stuck" between suspend and actual off when the battery dies.
Hold the power button down for a full 10 seconds, let it up and try it again.
