Has anyone reversed the twin hood scoops for a cowl induction effect?

Kind of reminds me of old Ford Thunderbolt set up.
Butch Leal was one of the 7 that received a Thunderbolt when he worked for Mickey Thompson. Butch sent me this picture when he asked for a similar set up on his street Duster.

An old friend of mine had a T’bolt years ago (an actual Garage Find before that came the Latest Thing), and he had a helluva time finding those intake hoses (car was about 90% complete). Although some may say it looks odd with the hood open, there’s no doubt it was a natural fit, what with the 4 headlights that Ford used.

I like what you did with the Duster, as cutting into the grille, bumper, or valence for the tubing would not only have been ugly, but also would have been a huge “tell” on the street that all was not as it seemed under the hood.

Nicely done!

Used a 17" cake pan from Amazon and fit it to the carb base to make the scoops on my 73 Sport a bit more functional.

Supertuck, I like what you did to make that hood scoop functional. Simple, neat, and probably lowers the intake air temperature. On my Duster, with a flat hood, the intake air temps hit 220 degrees on 100 degree days in traffic. I am considering various options.
