Have any old timers seen an original Panther Pink 1971 Demon? Panther Pink was an option in 1970, and a special order color in 1971, then was discontinued for 1972. I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask...

There was one at Pick N Pull back around 91-92... just a 318 & a three speed manual but it was a Demon & it was coded FM3

Had a guy show up at a local meet with a Panther Pink (correction, Moulon Rouge) Dart with a 340 4 speed. He said it was 1 of 29 made that year. Here it is next to a Panther Pink 340 Duster.

I'm asking old timers because they would have been around when the rich girl in high school drove up in one, or when they saw one sitting at a dealership back when they were new. As the years roll by, the colors proliferate, and three "factory original" cars made turns into 250 "factory original" cars made... That happened to my FC7 Demon, twice as many "factory original paint" Plum Crazy Demons exist now than they did when they were new....

I bought a used, very low mileage, pink Swinger340 in late summer of 1970. I drove it until I wore it out a couple of times over, then sold it in 75 for over half of what I paid for it.
She was on her
Second engine, second trans, third clutch, second rear end, And
many starters, alternators, Tie-rod ends, U-joints, and brakes..

But the 8-track still played Deep Purple and Cream.

I just remember a customer had a 70 Road Runner and always pointed out it was Mouflon Rouge. He was a Master Tech at a Ford dealer on my route. Smart guy, worked on Fords but owned a Mopar.

Yeah, you'd figure PLYMOUTH wouldda got PANTHER PINK. But no.

I have seen two Moulin Rouge Dusters, and a couple of Panther Pink Darts, but I couldn't tell if they were original or not, since they were on the road at the time.

I own an original 1970 Panther Pink dart swinger 340 4-speed. I've seen a 1971 pink duster with the 999 paint code but never a demon.
