Im confused on the "chick car" label two seat roadsters get sometimes. Seems to me i see more women driving Big SUV's and trucks then i do small sports cars. If this is a "chik car", i wish more chicks would sell their huge over priced, over sized SUV's and buy something smaller like this so i can actually see around them. Maybe they labeled "chick cars" because you could actually pic up chicks in it? Do manly cars have to have a V8 in them? Seems to me back in the day A-bodies like Darts got a bad label of being called granny cars. Which means darts are really "old chick cars"? Are two seat roadsters in general chick cars? Well i guess the vette, cobra, porshe, jaguar, and other sports cars are chick cars aswell. My guess is that back in the day people who could afford nice big cars like polaras, chargers, furys, challengers and cudas, may have even looked down abit at A bodies with the thought of "poor mans granny car".
Demon isnt a bad name in general, if it hadnt already been used for dodges version of the duster. that said they should have given the name Demon to a more aggressive looking car back in the day, not some "granny car" A body. they should have called the challenger the dodge Demon. But history is set in stone so the demon will for ever be dodges duster. And sense it is, then the roadster should not be called a demon. In memory a demon is a "go fast in a strait line" car for people who couldnt afford chargers, challengers and the like. So labelling a poor mans sports car after an old muscle car is wrong. It might make buyers think it cant corner well.
Label it a chick car, heck some manly men might even think convertibles are "chick cars", but my thought is anyone crazy enough to go fast without a top over your head seem abit more manly then those cars with a top. Do i really think that? No. Cars are cars being an A body fan, i dont look at the more pricier cars from back in the day like the chargers and challengers as being a rich/richer mans car. And my hope is that the guys who could afford a bigger mopar didnt look at darts as a "granny car", but it did happen and does still happen today.
Cool car, but we need people at chrysler to fire the guy or chick naming the cars they car making.
