Have you seen the New Demon concept

-
Well i think it looks nothing like a demon and shouldnt bear the name demon.

I made a "quick" drawing on what i think it should look like if they want to make a "new" demon roadster.

What do you guys think?

you can click the thumnail to make it bigger

I like it 1973dartswinger !!!
You have some great skills there sir :toothy7:

Car doesn't do a thing for me.

Also I didn't know driving a BMW Z3 made me a yuppie :tongue9:

I thought I was an old Mopar Moterhead...oh well I guess you gotta call 'em
like you see 'em.......just kidding Longgone.......I agree with you, there's
enough cars on the road that look like that. Besides the B'mer is the
wife's car.

i really don't think they would name it a demon, for one they dont seem at all alike, demons weren't even offered in convertable which alone makes the idea stupid, but number 2, the demon only lasted a few years because their was so much bad press due to the name of the car, this is why demons are somewhat rare now and more valuable then the typical duster or dart sport, in 73 dodge changed the demon name to dart sport for the reason of bad press on the demon name, so them reproducing the demon seems like a poor choice, and producing that car as the demon is even worse, although i have to say i do really want a new challenger, they did get that one right

dude..german stuff ain't junk..it ain't no american muscle..but if i dind't own american muscle..i would go and get another bimmer...i loved my BMW 528i...nice ride..

That is ok for you but for me i will always own Mopar. I just haven't been too happy with what they have done with Mopars over the years. they have disgraced the Charger by making it a 4 door, and now the Aspen as a SUV.

Thanks memike!

After looking at it I realized it wasnt something that dodge would produce though. So I went and started a new drawing. I played around with the idea of a convertable but it just wasnt working and it wasnt saying demon. So I put a roof on it and im relativly happy with what I came up with.

Heres my new drawing on what I think a demon concept should look like:

Once again click the picture for it to get bigger.

Thanks,
Mike

Hey 1973Dartswwinger ,Nice Drawing!!!!If they had builded a car based on your drawings !!!It woulçd be a real Demon concept!!!I Started one here but Didn't liked .

Wow lets send that in and get it built!!! :toothy7:
And call it Demon R/T.

Great job 1973Dartswinger

Glad to see you guys like my drawing, Heres anothing, not sure if i like this one, the proprotions and stuff is way off so maybe ill give it another try later. :

BUt im dont wanna hijack this thread anymore then i have sooo if i have ne more drawings maybe ill make a new thread.

too bad you put the rubber band tires on it ;-)

other than that I like your drawin's. might wanna add more headroom and give it 2 more doors, then they will be sure to build it.

The car is okay in design, and fits a niche market that chrysler really does not appeal to currently.(Mazda MX5, BMW Z3) but it should not be called a Demon. How Bout Dodge C1 roadster, then you can just add a number after it for mods like the BMW. Dodge C1= dodge concept#1 roadster It is kinda fitting with the way they name the modern cars.

wow Mike alot of work in those drawings. They look real good to me.

;)

Cool drawings!
You should apply for a design specialist for Chrysler, maybe you are what they need.

Seems to me though that a few of the out of touch with American musclecar crowd at Chrysler just thinks the name "Demon", is cool, so they had to use a cool name for their non-cool car in hopes that it would sell to the stupid, out of touch with American icon car buyers that may have heard the name before, but have no clue what a real demon looks like.
Man, who are trying to fool here?

Only one answer..............Chicks.

Sorry, that's a chick car.

Im confused on the "chick car" label two seat roadsters get sometimes. Seems to me i see more women driving Big SUV's and trucks then i do small sports cars. If this is a "chik car", i wish more chicks would sell their huge over priced, over sized SUV's and buy something smaller like this so i can actually see around them. Maybe they labeled "chick cars" because you could actually pic up chicks in it? Do manly cars have to have a V8 in them? Seems to me back in the day A-bodies like Darts got a bad label of being called granny cars. Which means darts are really "old chick cars"? Are two seat roadsters in general chick cars? Well i guess the vette, cobra, porshe, jaguar, and other sports cars are chick cars aswell. My guess is that back in the day people who could afford nice big cars like polaras, chargers, furys, challengers and cudas, may have even looked down abit at A bodies with the thought of "poor mans granny car".
Demon isnt a bad name in general, if it hadnt already been used for dodges version of the duster. that said they should have given the name Demon to a more aggressive looking car back in the day, not some "granny car" A body. they should have called the challenger the dodge Demon. But history is set in stone so the demon will for ever be dodges duster. And sense it is, then the roadster should not be called a demon. In memory a demon is a "go fast in a strait line" car for people who couldnt afford chargers, challengers and the like. So labelling a poor mans sports car after an old muscle car is wrong. It might make buyers think it cant corner well.
Label it a chick car, heck some manly men might even think convertibles are "chick cars", but my thought is anyone crazy enough to go fast without a top over your head seem abit more manly then those cars with a top. Do i really think that? No. Cars are cars being an A body fan, i dont look at the more pricier cars from back in the day like the chargers and challengers as being a rich/richer mans car. And my hope is that the guys who could afford a bigger mopar didnt look at darts as a "granny car", but it did happen and does still happen today.
Cool car, but we need people at chrysler to fire the guy or chick naming the cars they car making.
