hi guys, i was stripping the car down this week to start the body work, and when i removed my dr. bucket seat i was a little disheartened, some mice/time had gotten to the build sheet with only a few scraps still clinging onto the seat. but it was only a minor setback, i remove the rear bench bottom and still nothing, but low and behold when the rear seat back came out there was a perfect copy of the build, and it actually matched the cars #s. Now ive found a few places that have some codes for it, but i think they put the paper in the typewriter wrong, a few lines are perfect, but most of the #s are printed on the description of that part, and then at the very bottom, below the last line of options like your radio and whatnot there are a few more sets of numbers, some of them ive been able to match up but others i havnt, is there a good/free place i can decode this thing, i know galien(spelling) is the authority on these but id rather shell out the cash on something concrete on the car before spending 60 on a piece of paper. :) i'll see if i can get some good shots with the dig. cam. saturday.

post some pics and give us the fender tag codes line by line. the fender tag codes will match the build sheet if it is from the same car. if no one helps i'll decode it for you......

cool 7d, thanks. i will try to get everything up here by the end of the week :drinkers:

hoobatech , this is the hardest thing i have ever tried to read! it is all over the place. it looks like the printer is off line about half way through. i have only been able to decode parts of it. i will be able to help you alot more if you can copy down the fender tag codes line by line as they appear. it would make it 100% easier. here is what i have so far concrete so far. i can tell a few other things about it also, like 4-speed , build date is 8/03/71 but need the fender tags. ....i can get the rest with the fender tag codes....

looks like you have it sorted out pretty well. if you notice the build sheet they used for your car is a 1971. your car is an early production model for 1972. i guess they were trying to use up old blanks they had laying around. i think that is where the problems come in on the location of the letters and numbers. my build sheet looks a little different and the items are in different places on the sheet. i am not sure what you still need to know verses what you have already. i had to get away from this for awhile as i have a headache. i will look again at it later. if there are some specifics you want figured leave question marks beside the items and i will attack those item........

yeah, i found a decode program on mymopar for the fendertag, thanks
