I put my engine together & the plate that the oil filter spins on is pouring oil.Does it require a gasket/gaskets or neither to the block? I ruined a new pair of TTI ceramic coated headers.Advice plz & where do I get the gasket or can I just buy the gasket material & make my own? Thanks in advance

Yes, it needs a gasket and that can be gotten at the dealer. Don't feel to bad, I did the exact same thing. MAN! Oil sure does come out quick don't it!

Look on the bright side......

Your oil pump is working and cleaning the headers is real easy. And you did not spring a leak going down the highway which would entail a tow back home AND a huge mess on the whole underside of the car.

it cooked into the ceramic of the headers & isn't coming off.I also left out that the end header bolts that go into the water jacket also leaked @ the same time.SOOOOOO much smoke:( lol.I didn't have a gasket so I bought the material & made my own which I guess is too thin,so I'm off to buy a roll of cork gasket (crossing fingers).I've done 2 motors & had the same problem.I should be a pro now :D.Is that FD # the dealer part number? I will stock a few of these for the future. Thanks for the help,I don't feel so bad seing as I wasn't the only 1 to have this problem

I had this problem. The gasket must be right and ensure that its torqued to 60lbs or it will leak.
