Installing Hookers on my 318 '67 Dart. Some of the bolts don't want to start because the tubes are in the way enough that I can't get the bolts lined up straight enough to get them in. Am I doing this wrong? Do I need to dimple the tubes? Can I "slot" the holes a little? Should I use studs? Thanks. W

Try Pulling The Header Flange Away From The Head & Inserting The Bolts Thru The Header Flange, Then Start Threading Them Into The Head A Little At A Time On Each Bolt.

first you need to identify the bolt holes that you can get to easily, I'm sure that those are the bolts that you installed first. take them out, do those last because they are easy. now pull the header away from the head and fish the hard bolts into the holes and seat them against the header flange. now slowly tighten them in a little at a time, you may need an open end wrench and rubber arms to get them all. now that the header is seated and all of the hard to do bolts are in go back and do the easy ones.
