Hi rebuilding my 1970 Duster 340 automatic looking for a set of headers that I don't have to beat the s**t out of to fit Back in the day mid 70s I had a set of Hookers the #1 tube was a slip in and they fit no problem even with power steering. Any help would be grate. Thanks Dale

Yep - I have those Hooker Super Comps on the avatar too!!

problem is we never know how the engine was installed.. tti give specific measurements on where th emotor should be.. i doubt many pay attention to that. :)
Correct. And of course, no one ever admits their car was put together "wrong".

Thanks everybody I will keep checking things out and watch at local cruses.

We run the Hooker Super Comp 1 3/4 on
all our A body Street/Strip cars.

I do not know if they are still available new anymore
but I am hoarding several sets.

dougs and tti fit best. Spark plug and ground clearance

Hookers comp and cheapy copies hang below the centerlink, they never go on my cars anymore.

My tti headers fit.... with a thick washer on each side. They already had flattening around the t bar, power steering fit fine with the washers.

The part I dislike, but f it.. is the slip on no.7 seizes after time.. so its captured by the t bar.. and youd have to dremel an expansion line to remove it aftera few years

TTI 1 7/8 inch no dimples needed on the demon. Then the dougs 1 3/4 on the cuda dents required

I have TTI long tubes on my small block. Zero dents none and they clear everything. But I had to shim my motor mounts to get engine correctly located. And I run Schumaker Torque Strap to keep engine from moving. My TTIs are prone to surface rust though. But they are 16 years old still in good condition

I have a set of TTI's on my 67 Barracuda 360. Fit perfectly with no massaging of the headers or anything else at all. I do have manual steering, though.

Now the TTI's on my 65 Barracuda weren't so easy, had to ding one tube for idler arm clearance, and another for clutch Z-bar clearance. Plus move cables and wiring to the starter, and re-route brake lines. Plus shorten the steering column jacket. But the 65 has a much smaller engine compartment. I was actually pleased that they fit so well.

I've done TTi long tubes twice, once in 70 Dart 360/727, and once in a 75 Dart Sport, also 360/727. No muss, no fuss, no hammering required.
Just make ABSOLUTELY SURE that your engine is located correctly. Read the installation instructions carefully and you shouldn't have any problems.
