What is the correct color for the headlight buckets and the adjuster plates for a 72 dart?

Thanks!

I think it depended on body color. Working on my 75 fenders right now. The right side is original to the car and is body color (cinnamon- which is darkish brown tone) The driver fender was previously replaced with a gold one which was much lighter. But they did not repaint the headlight area. It looks like the original gold was applied to the whole thing and then they haphazardly sprayed black to darken visible areas around edge of grille and light.

Check out this link for doing the buckets, it worked for me perfectly. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=248195

Here is what I did and it is as close to the original finish as I could possibly get. I did the backing plates in a gloss black enamel, which looked original judging by the paint behind the bolts. The backing plates were black, not painted.

The 70-72 dart/demon headlight bucket retaining brackets were removable. (Left and right are interchangeable) all other A-bodies I've seen are spot welded to the fender, so that's why they are body colour. The buckets appear to be galvanized to me and if you check out my link above I think I got the finish spot on. The buckets are marked with "L" and "R" and are not interchangable unless you want crooked bulbs.

Hope this helps
