I'm going to use relays for my headlights. The factory harness uses a wire that goes from left to right headlight(series) to the radiator support. How should I ground the headlights using the relay setup. I'm using 12awg wire to connect to the headlights. The car is a 66 Cuda with 2 lights.
Thanks

The ground is a completely separate issue, but there's GOOD reason to upgrade the factory ground. That is, make sure the lamp connectors are good or replace them, and run good large gauge grounds. No14 is plenty. If you run separate ground wire from each lamp instead of connecting them together to one ground, that way if one ground should fail/ loosen, at least BOTH lamps don't go out.

Personally, I would go right to the core support with each having it's own ground.

I ground each side to the core support and the core support to the neg' batt' terminal.
