Headrest trim removal

For a 68 Barracuda- any suggestions on removing the chrome plastic trim without tearing the headrest?

i have done this and it's not too difficult...sometimes,but i can't remove the chrome on my current headrests without tearing the underlying vinyl
..good luck!
