I have a 66 fish that I have stripped down to paint black. It has a black interior and came with no heat/air system at all but is an air car orig. It had all been removed to make a race car before I got it. It only has the drivers vent inside. It is beginning to look nearly imposible to find an oem system for my car so I am thinking of using an afternarket set-up.
Any suggestions or pics of how you did yours would be of great assistance, I am not going w/out air in a black car and I trust you guys in showing me the right way to go. thanks

I would put a aftermarket a/c unit under the dash and wait patiently for the factory a/c components to come to me. Any OEM a/c case you find is probably gonna need servos, seals, who knows. It can be a money pit in itself.
I would also start looking at options for mounting a small reciprocating compressor on the engine rather than the RV2. That part wouldn't change if and when the inside parts are changed. Whatever it takes to have air now..

By gosh, theres an Idea, I can mount a 110 unit in the trunk coming through the back door! I bet that would ice the inside of that truck!
Are you talking about that small round compresser you see alot RedFish? Good idea, I was wondering if anybuddy makes an A-body aftermarket unit that is hidden instead of hangin' below the dash?
