Inspect the reluctor. If it is chipped, and/or if there are fine metal shavings everywhere....

You may have to compromise on the reluctor gap, and open it up a little to clear the vacuum advance effect. Maybe why it was so off to begin with? I have had to go back and forth to Advance Auto to get a good one. After a couple of time doing that, I inspected them before I left the premises!

Your wiring looks clean, BTW.
 
Make sure the vac hose to the dist is going to PORTED vaccum, NOT vaccum at idle!!!!!! Whats most likely happening, is its way over advanced at idle
