This is my first dive back into mopars in about 20 years. I restored a few cool mopars when I was a teen with my dad. We did a 65 Satellite 426 Max Wedge car, a 68 GTS 383 dart, and the probably the coolest car I have ever seen......a 71 vitamin C orange Hemi cuda with a pistol grip shifter.


I just bought a 73 duster. It is about as straight of an old car as I have seen in a long time. I wasn't looking for a duster honestly, but when you find a car that has no rust anywhere or than some minor surface stuff, you buy it. It had teh entire interior, all the glass, all the trim pieces, etc. The only thing I didn't like was the dash was cut for an aftermarket radio. In the grand scheme of things I will probably cut out the entire dash myself so it is no big deal. I am looking to do a pro touring rendition. Mix the best of new with the classic touches of old. I can't wait to get started.
 
Welcome aboard....(from the east coast of Canada). Post some pictures of your '73 for all to see. This site is just chock full of great people and great help/advice. You will find it invaluable during your resto.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. The car is at the body shop getting the body work done and getting shot with primer. It was a restoration project that a body shop owner was about to do for his grandson when the kid picked a different toy. I lucked out a bit. I pick it up in a few days and I will post up pictures.

What color are you painting it? B5 I assume...

Are you familiar with the Cowtown Mopars? Great group of guys. Meeting are the 3rd Sunday of the month at Billy Bob's in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

I have heard of the group but am not too familiar with them. I will be painting it back to B5, I think it is an awesome color. I am going to be changing the interior color to black though. I am not fond of the white interiors
 
Well I got the car home today. I will take some pics. I got there to pick it up and the truck was full and the interior was in the car. The guys says, "I cleaned out the basement and I found the seats, the bumpers, the door panels, and all the window trim for the car. You can have it too. I scored today
 
Hello from North Dallas..........for those of you that asked Lewisville is a suburb N of Dallas about 15 miles or so.
