help adjusting carb

i have a edlebrock 4 barrel 600 or 650 not sure which, what is best way to adjust it, i do have vaccum gauge any ideas? thanks

adjust the carb LAST. the timing should be set already. start with the 2 idle mix screws out front. turn out until highest vacuum reading/highest rpm, then back in 1/4 turn to take the rich edge off without the idle dropping.then set the idle speed last.

after turning screws should they both end up at the same reading on vacuum gauge? thanks

yes. turn 1 until it tops out the vacuum reading, then do the other one. after they both top out, turn them in until the vacuum drops again to take the rich edge off.
