Good morning,
I'm hoping I can get some insight on this. Was driving last night and was parking and my car stalled, all of the electrical stopped. Turned the key a few times and it seemed to randomly start enough to finish parking. Came back, she started up and then went dead again in the middle of the street. No ignition, lights... Just stopped. Had to push it to the side of the road and leave it. It's a 64 Dart, V8/ 273. Drove it all day, no problems until last night. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Bill

I THINK these have a "fuse link" out on the bulkhead

EDIT below maybe not, 65?
Your ammeter connections should go through the firewall in a separate connection near the bulkhead connector, check that

And check connections under the dash at the ammeter. For starters, just reach up in there and wiggle.

Wiring diagrams from MyMopar

Below is a clip from the diagrams. It appears the 64 goes through the main bulkhead connector. If you have a fuse link it will be the RED going from the starter relay to terminal "G" of the bulkhead.

Inside the cab, that "big red" continues to the ammeter

Thanks @67Dart273. I'll walk down and see if I can get her going. Pretty sure I'm in a red zone, so fingers crossed no parking tickets!

Bulkhead connector is a major culprit when that happens. I final had to use fine sandpaper to clean the contacts on my '64 Valiant. That fixed the problem temporarily, but I now have a new connector to install...if I ever find time.

Before doing that, remove the battery cables and check for cleanliness and tightness.

Yep... was the bulkhead connector... Looking old and crusty. Thanks a ton for the help and have a great holiday!!!
