These look like what I have now
?So I have a 73 dart sport that I have been trying to get a 73 360 with a 727 attached. I am having an issue getting the engine and transmission in correctly. The first issue I am having is that the starter is sitting on the pitman arm which a mini starter should fix. Next is the trans, no matter what I do I can not get the mount to go into the crossmember, This one I'm not sure how to fix. I appreciate any help

For a 73' Dart LA, post 4 is correct, you have the early LA mounts. The transmission mount has also changed in 73'(but they are also found on an "E" body or VAN or possible truck. The brackets come with the drum mounts, but make sure they are for the 360 and not a 318. I made them work on my Van when I installed a 340, but it took some extra work. There were no 340 mounts for a 72' van.Per the vin it was a 318 car. And these are A2326 and a2325 mounts. Are they not correct?
Was that a slant six car. K member is different I think. So I have a 73 dart sport that I have been trying to get a 73 360 with a 727 attached. According to my 74 dart sport I think your cross member is backwards as far as the starter we’ll here’s pics. That’s a full size Chrysler starterSo I have a 73 dart sport that I have been trying to get a 73 360 with a 727 attached. I am having an issue getting the engine and transmission in correctly. No probThank you
With headers it’s a tight fit lay headers in car and tie up with wire. As you lower engine make sure headers are loose. Have done it both ways if you got the room under car engine and trany together is easier. If not you’ll be swearing at the top trany bolts, ratchet wrench’s make it somewhat easier but there will still be a few F sharps for sure. Depending on your headers put starter on before header. Have fun. If you find your getting pissed off, put the wrench’s down turn off lights close door walk away, it’ll still be there tomorrow and you will have a better frame of mind. Works for me. It’s not supposed to be a job.No prob
