I had a bit of a boo boo a few weeks ago. Hit a buddys car and dented the Valiant a bit. I hammered out the dent as good as I could but since the top of the dent goes through the top body line, it creased it a bit. I am getting married next month and would like the car to be fixed. What would the process be to fix it? sand to bare metal/just paint? etc. thanks. What about matching the paint? Do those "scanners" from the paint shop work good? Would I have to paint the whole fender or just the damaged area?

I'm not a body man, but I would sand down the paint and chip off the peeled part and sand it down. Tape it off and primeer it and touch up paint it unless you have a can of the paint itself in the garage or basement somewhere.

The pushed in fender part of it may actually come out with the palm of your hand and a few pushs or swift shots to POP it back out.

Good luck with it.

sand it down around the dents/scratches, then do some minor body work, you could use some other tools and do stuff like what the paintless dent repair people do, in order to straighten the metal as much as possible. Im unsure on gettting the paint matched, that would be a tough one. on the final paint, its hard to tell best would be to repaint the whole thing, but i know a guy who is awesome at blending. good luck
