Hi all thanks so much for the help.

Bottom line I just got this 64 Valiant a month ago and am finally discovering all the stuff in it. 318, 650 Holley, 280 Competition Cam, 727 TF, 3.91 Limited slip rear from 74 swinger.

I'm finding tons of things not finished on this so I'm trying not to guess anything is actually adjusted / finished.

Broke the shifter cable today, while under there I think I see where what I think is the kickdown linkage is not connected.

There is a lever on the tranny above the shifter cable connection that has factory linkage to the See pics.

Pic 1 connects to Pic3 and Pic2 is just to show what is connected to carb.

Is this the kickdown lever or factory push button shifter?
If it is the kickdown what connects it to the carb?
Thanks,
Jeff

From looking at your pics, your missing the slider piece for your kickdown to carb.I,m pretty sure you also need a Holly bracket to attach your missing kickdown piece.do not drive the car as is,you,ll fry the trans.Hope this gives you some insight.
You can use the Search tool to hopefully find some pics of the kickdown piece missing.
