I am helping a friend build a 68 Dart. He has put a 426 hemi in it with a 4 speed tranny. It is all done but have trouble with the clutch adjustment. The linkage runs out of adjustment on the rod. I was told that we have the wrong throw out bearing. That we need the long or tall bearing. The onlt thing is that we have a 1" x 23 spline input shaft. The tall bearing is for a 1 3/16" x 12 shaft. We were told by a place down south that we got the kit to convert to the 4 speed that this tranny would work. What do I do. I can't find the other bearing that I need if one was EVER made to fit the Hemi. Can anyone help us. Thank you

The Hemi 4 speed was a 18 spline input shaft. make sure you have the rite throw out bearing for the 23 spline. Is the flywheel and pressure plate flat? As in not dished? I had that happen to me and there was no way I could adjust it out. Good luck.

Sorry your right the hemi tranny had a 18 spline. I made a typeo. Is the othere tranny compatible? It has bolted up fine the only trouble is the adjustment to the throw out bearing?
