all right it a 426 stroker any ways when you go to let the car idle for a while like if you were pulling into a car show it wants to stall after it idles for a while timing set a 12 degrees full in is 31 any ways cars temp is about 180 put new carb gaskets in it its got a qf carb 850 four corner mixture screws any ideas would be great.PS its pulling 13-14 inches of vacuum.car got a 3500 stale to.

Electric or mechanical fuel pump? With this crappy fuel, I'm having problems with fuel boiling with my mechanical pump. Hasn't quit on me yet, but it has gotten to the point I lose power and the bowls will empty and stutter some. I'm going to convert to electric pump with return to try to keep cool fuel to it.

its electric carter pump wish i bought the new edlebrock one way quiter. it just got me stumped a bit .??? fule pressure is 7psi

Initial timing sounds possibly low depending on the combination.

i can bump it up havent tryed it yet this is my build 426 kit cam is 600 lift air gap intale tti 1/7/8 headers qiuck fule carb comp is about closer to 11/1 i can put it up some on the ititial timing wear should i aim for 16 and up.

What does it sound like and how bad does the exhaust smell? Some people love that lopey sound of overlapping intake and exhaust valves, but it isn't good for low-end performance or emissions. Thumper cams don't idle well, and some people like that.
