Hip number 2 was successfully installed. Could not find a 1959 NOS unit, so a titanium unit had to do. The hospital food absolutely rocks.
Absolutely correct, Kern. Had the left one replaced 10/8/19. Piece of cake compared to a knee. I will absolutely be at the Spring Fling FABO picnic on May 22 @68gtxman.They are going to have you up and walking within hours of the surgery.
My old Boss had both done at the same time and was walking later that day. He was able to go up stairs in his house for the firast time in 18 months.
They advised NO lateral stress like entering and exiting cars where you have to slide and turn...unless absolutely necessary like getting home.
Good luck!
This is why I scheduled it after the FABO get together. Pain comes with our age, Del.Envious I iz
I didnt think of that. Also, I think I got screwed out of a sway bar. I dont feel one. You'll have to keep something heavier in the titanium side so you don't wear out your other bearings from out of balance.
Congrats !
If they were made by Ford the would need to be drilled for fittings. Since the factory forgot! Nina should know with her squeaky Mustangs.Get well soon Jim! @fratzog lover
Did you get the hip joints with the Zerk fittings or the ones with sealed bearings?
The what ??I will absolutely be at the Spring Fling FABO picnic on May 22.
It might be a long drive for Kern!
