I have a Proform main body, the smoothed venture type. It has changeable air bleeds, so I’m going to put it to use. I picked it up from a buddy for free, it has no casting numbers to show what cfm it will flow. I am currently running a Holley 800 with a Proform billet base plate. My current Holley does not have the four corner idle adjustments and has a choke tower on it, so I want to get rid of it. Is the conversion to the four corner setup just as easy as buying a Holley metering block with the adjustments on it? Is there any kind of matching of the metering blocks? I assume this main body is set up for the four corner setup, but I don’t know how to tell. Below are the links of the parts I have, but I’m not sure if this is EXACTLY the same main body, since it has no identifiable casting numbers. Thanks for any help!!

as long as the main body and base plate support the 4 corner idle...yes...you need a rear metering block with an idle circuit...

you might want to take a look at the billet metering blocks from proform or quick fuel tech...

I was looking at the nicer blocks, but figured since I allready have the front block, why get two more just to have a finer emulsification? It is a stroker, but more of a street ride. My main concern is that I dont know how to tell if the main body supports a secondary idle circut. If I post up some detailed hi-res pics of the main body, is there anybody here that identify it for me?

So I called Proform, turns out I have a 750 mainbody, and it does support the secondary idle circuit. Since I want four corner idle adjustability, the Proform tech recommended me a good metering block (link is at the bottom of the page). I thought I had an 800cfm mainbody, but I am actually happy with it being a 750, being that the car is primarily a street car; I think I will be better off with a slightly smaller carb. I’ll just have to tune it out and jet it properly. They also recommended I run a secondary power valve plug (which I already am on my 800).
