Once again, we have stepped up to be one of the event sponsors for the Moparty in Bowling Green, KY. The show this year is scheduled for September 12th through 14th. For those who have never attended, this is a relatively new event that offers a very diverse coverage of show cars, drag racing, autocross, burn out contest, cruise in and much more. Registration for the event will go live on April 15th.

If your car club is interested in parking as a group, FM3 marketing will mark off a designated area for the group as long as there is a minimum of 15 cars registering under the one banner as for example "For A-Bodies Only." You will need to mark in the remarks column under the registration page, the groups name in which you are a part of. Additionally, the National Hemi Owners Association is planning their yearly National Meet at the event this year. So if there is any owners of the factory Hemi Darts and Cudas who like to attend, this would be a great opportunity to show the car off in their designated area. The Survivors Display will also be there as well as started by the late Mel Majors. We are also working on having a display of the AAR and TA E-Bodies.

For those who were in the swap meet last year and who are planning on returning for 2025, you should have received an email from Keri from FM3 Marketing in regards to renewing your spots. If you did not get the email, check your spam folder as we have some people saying that the email got sent to their spam folder. If you were in the swap meet last year as a vendor, you can renew your spots prior to April 15th. If you have forgotten your space numbers or did not get the email to renew your spaces, let me or Geoff McBryde know. Geoff heads up all details of the swap meet. If you should want to add more spots to your existing location or move to a new location, then you will have to wait until the "open registration" comes available on April 15th. At that point, it will be first come, first served on what is available. Anything that is not renewed prior to April 15th will be open for someone to choose.

I have posted a current link to the event. Once the registration goes live, I will post again as a reminder. Please consider supporting the event as it has much to offer. The grounds are nice, there is a large camp ground next to the facility, Bowling Green has a wide range of lodging establishments and eateries. Other than rain in the past, the weather is usually very mild.

If you should have any questions or concerns in regards to the event, drop me a private message. We have been attending and supporting the event from the days in which the Moparty actually started in Chattanooga, TN. We will be supporting the event by bringing out a wide assortment of reproduction parts that we offer under the names of Dales Cuda Shop, Gary Goer Interiors, Quirey Quality Design and Restoration Parts and Materials. We will be located under the large tent in the swap meet as you enter into the show field. Hope to see you guys there and you can stop by and say hello.

Thanks,
Richard

Geoff is kind of a quiet, meek little feller...so you gotta listen close to hear him.

Seriously though, I have known Geoff since he was a kid and he is a great guy and knows his stuff about the swap meet. He grew up helping his parents put on some of the best shows there's ever been. I worked for his folks at Mopars at The Rock and Charlotte in The Fall for years. His Mom & Dad made a tremendous contribution to this hobby we all enjoy.

FM3 is very fortunate in that Geoff agreed to come in and oversee the swap meet. John and Vickie have been involved in the Mopar world before most of us were even thinking about Mopar specific shows. Planning for the event is time consuming, stressful and little recognition and compensation for the efforts required. Thankfully, Geoff grew up knowing the efforts required and with the help of his wife and Dennis, it comes together. That is why I will support their efforts in any way in which I can as it is beneficial for all of us.

I'm going to plan to be there. Went the year before last. Didn't make it last year. Wife and daughter tested hot for COVID. They never did get bad sick, and I never tested positive.
We'll try again this year.

The Holley Moparty dates are quickly approaching. For those who have never been, it offers a very diverse venue and have added some additional events in the past month.

For those who will be attending, if any of the group members of the site and the other groups, would like to have a meet and greet, you guys can use our tent as the meet up point. We are easy to find in the swap meet field. Just look for the large white tent as you enter into the swap meet from the show field. Just look for the signage for Dale's Cuda Shop and Restoration Parts and Materials.

We always have some extra chairs available and free waters for anyone who needs to take a break from the activities. Just stop by and introduce yourself.

Great show, see you there, Lord willing.

I'm here. My green Dart is sitting in the Survivors display on midway. I should be close, if not, I'm probably in the swap looking for treasures.

We were there. Tons of show cars, swap meet stuff, but race cars were almost nonexistent. 8 s/pro cars and 34 pro cars. Lot of people carrying bulky stuff. Lots and lots of WAY OVERPRICED STUFF. Junk bucket seats for 68/69 b body, 1400.00 and needed covers and foam. 6 pack set ups, 4k and up. 1 thing I thought was a great idea, the Boy Scouts were there, hauling you items for a donation. I bought some stuff and had them take back to where we were parked for the car show. Donated 20.00. Felt good to help them out. Hope they don't decide to change locations. Bowling Green is a super nice place.

I have a couple of observations about Moparty.
1. love that it's in Bowling Green Ky. Nice city, big enough to hold this event, but not so big that you get lost in the B/S. I was able to get a decent hotel and have my lips ripped off for my trouble. The hotels in Carlisle are getting outrageous.
2. Swap meet has the potential to surpass The Nats, only if they get it the hell off that hill. Either move the swap meet to the grassy area behind the midway, or move the show car are back there and put the swap where the show cars presently are. I felt like a billy goat going up and down. I got tired of that after two or three trips.
3. Some of the staff needs to mellow out! There's no need to have your wrist band checked 2 or 3 times just to get in. Once you've gotten past one controlled point, it only stands to reason you're allowed to be where you are. No need to get huffy if you ask a simple question either. On the obverse, there were a couple of the staff members that were rock stars! There was nice lady at check in, who's name I didn't get, that was fabulous! There was also a lady named Carrie that was great.
4. The venue has some serious ADA issues. I helped a guy in a wheelchair get up to the show car area because there was a tram stop, but no tram. I didn't mind helping, but not having something the venue advertised was not cool.
5. Huge Plus! No additional charge to park, and plenty of space to do it!
I also thought some of the swap prices were high, but that will sort itself out after the vendors carry stuff home two or three times.
I also liked that the Boy Scouts were there working for tips. Those kids were hustling and I hope they made some bank.
I didn't spend a bunch of time at the track, but I was close enough to it that it seemed like racing didn't stop.
I also really liked the fact that I was able to see some cars that I don't normally see. That's a really big draw for the location. Close enough to draw some of the west of the Mississippi cars. I saw several Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri and even a couple of Nevada plates.
Over all, I had a really good time and plan to go back next year.
