Yes, don't guess with fuel pressure. a couple pounds can make a difference. a 10# pump will adjust differently than a 8# output pump.Actually you should set it all the way down and come up on your pressure while watching a fuel pressure gauge.
Yes and don't rely on X amount of threads showing for X amount of pressure. Carter/Edelbrock carbs like 4-5# and Holleys can tolerate 7 or 8#. Any more and they will run rich and you can never adjust or jet them leaner.from the factory they are set around 6 psi....to raise the pressure...loosen the lock nut...and turn the adjuster clockwise to raise the pressure,,,,,
that is what the instructions say...
