Hey guys!
So I got this cool 1960s console record player at my job, works great sounds amazing! Only problem it’s got termites in it. It’s still intact but I wanted to see if I could some how get rid of them. Some type of oil that doesn’t smell to wild. Lol

Citrus or Neem oil will kill them if you can contact them in the gallery's.
Myself I would just spray it down with bifenthrin and be done.

Okay is this a joke, as an inspector for terminix international for over 6 years there are two major types of termite subterranean and damp wood subterranean need to have access to the ground to survive and damp woods can only survive in wet wood so show me a pic I don't think it's termites! And if it is subterranean's I'd be more worried about my structures.

Lets see pix of the critters, or at least their trails. More than likely, it's ants. You'd have to have damp conditions for it to be termites.

It's possible it could be dry wood termites, if it were subterranean termites they would be already dead from separation of the ground colony.

Yes and no if they're subterranean's there could be a mud tunnel going between the stereo and the wall coming up from the ground or foundation area. I have seen mud tunnels the size of one and a half inch pipe from the ground attached to sewage pipe up into the second story floor eating away the floor yes there was probably a leak somewhere at sometime facilitating the whole mess. The floor had been tore out by the time I was brought in.

Crap I forgot about drywood termites my bad! I haven't been inspector for a long time. And had very very few dry termite calls

It wouldn't be the first time. lol
I think the OP got the stereo from his job site, he might want to let them know they might have a termite problem.
Could be time to bring in the drills and do some trenching.
