Great memories of watching M*A*S*H

RIP
One of the few shows I rewatch in its entirety every couple of years

It feels different each time, simply because I evolve as a person

I know this scene will hit harder next time it comes by

She was a good lookin woman in her day and a dang good actress. She also didn't like the nickname "Hot Lips" because she felt it demeaned women in uniform. I agree with that, but having said that, I've seen every episode and I can say with some certainty that if they used that nickname more than ten times in the whole series, I'd be surprised.

If I remember correctly it was a nickname used more outside the unit then inside

I think that's right. I remember several officers through the series that were "somewhere else" besides the 4077th talking about her. She had a reputation......although possibly undeserved. But I think that was perhaps the whole point.

And if I'm not mistaken, the whole 4 aught 77 would go to bat for her, to defend her honor

Of course, there is the little indiscretion with Major Burns...that couldnt have done her reputation much good

I'm sure they would have. Yeah, but what do you do thousands of miles from home at war? I don't know. Seems more forgiveable somehow.

All is fair in love and war

Distance and distress definitely help weaken a person's resolve, and let's be honest, personal relationships thrive under these circumstances and people who would never consider an intimate relationship with one another might find themselves forged together by the circumstances they went through
