I've been in the Houston area nearly all my life and seems like it's always been that way.....just isn't a Mopar town. The Dallas area on the other hand is loaded with Mopars.

Anyone out here interested in a cruise to a birthday bash (pastor of my church, his annual party-lots of good people and no it isn't church related) leaving Sat July 4th in Alvin?
Free food and entertainment and great company. We meet up at the Bank in Alvin, Hwy 6 and Hwy 35, cruise the backroads to the event on a 40 acre homestead.
Lets get these cars out for a drive.

It sure isn't mine, dang it. Seems like every time it looks like I can get back to work on my car, something else comes up that demands my attention. At least we were spared the damage from a small tornado that came through the neighborhood over the weekend. It woke me up at 5am with debris hitting the house and was close enough that I heard the trees breaking two houses down. It messed up 8 houses worth of trees, storage buildings and fences. No one was hurt and no real damage was done to anyone's home. Our neighborhood consists of one long street and looks like the tornado danced around just those 8 houses. Don't think anyone even lost any shingles. Tornadoes are plain strange.....DJ, there are a few pockets of resistance around

Cranky, what kind of car are you working on? My side of town lucked out on having tornados knocking on our doors.

Yeah lots of damage out in La Porte also, we luckily missed out on any damage in Seabrook.

I am just up the street from you all in Baytown. We should all get together sometime. Isnt there a small car show there on Spencer across from Kroger? We have one in Baytown too behind the Texas Roadhouse. We can be the only MoPars!
66 Belvedere 2dr post. Had the thing for over 25 years. Was a /6 car with working AC and had planned on going NSS racing with it but life got in the way and the money supply took a hike so I'm trying to just get it back together for the street and maybe take it to the track on occasion. It already has a history of being the slowest car to win a race at the Baytown track lol
Sounds like a plan. Huge parking lot where the WalMart used to be and is just around the corner from me. Guess I'll have to bring out my nasty looking AND sounding 95 Dakota. My wife hates it lol. I'm one who runs straights on just about everything I own since the 70's and this thing wins the nasty sound trophy! Dang thing needs a paint job too but as long as it keeps running and the AC keeps working.....

There used to be. I usually go to Home Depot in Kemah, about 100 or so cars so every Saturday night. If you see my B5 blue 69 come say hi, usually parked with a bronze 69 RR. I am open to trying new places for sure!
When did they quit? I know it's been off and on over the years but here lately, there's been people showing up. If they haven't been in the last few weeks, it's news to me....

Well just checking in to see what you all are up to these days.
Some fool ran over my Dart a few months ago at work. Tore the left fender up bad. Finally got all the stuff to fix it. Just waiting on the body shop to tell me to bring it over.
Getting a new AAR six pack hood out of the deal, fender and some paint.
Bought a 62 Belvedere more door in February and been tinkering with that.
What about the rest of you?

Haven't done much of anything to mine. Been busy working on other junk and stuff around the house. Seems like there's always something that keeps me busy other than the car. Anyone need a new Jerico 4 speed? Doesn't look like I'll be going racing anymore so no use hanging onto it....

That stinks but sounds like you're coming out with a new hood! I picked up a 79 Lil Red Express back in April and have been working on it since, poor Dart is jealous. Work schedule has been screwy this summer so haven't got out as much as I'd like.
I haven't been out at all....but I did learn how to lay down laminate flooring
