No, I hunt the Indian Mounds sometimes but the last time I had my car that way was prolly June! We're just southeast of Lufkin. I haven't seen another gen two in a long time in east Texas. I went to Rays this month and there was a '65 and a '71 Barracuda too. Many other cars too. I think the cooler temps seem to help but the deer will take priority for me next month.

Cool! We are not far apart at all then. I live about 10 miles north of Woodville. About 35 miles south of Lufkin. Howdy neighbor.

Kinda surprised me to see so many on this thread that doesn't post on the site any more....

I am still around, just sold my Dart years ago. Have a 72 RR in the garage now. I post on FBBO also, but it seems most of the fourms are slow as people have moved to facebook. I miss the days when the forums were active.

Our classic car market is just plain soft in general. Slow.
People in general, want a $25,000 car all done for $5000. Maybe a slight exageration.
FB MarketPlace will drive you straight nuts!!! m If a desirarablke model price at 50 cents on the dollar, it will sell quick, otherwise....

I've been using FB MP for some time now but not for selling cars. Right now I have welding rods for sale and started out 100 bucks for 105 lbs of them. No response so I cut the price in half. Getting lots of responses now but I'm being asked if that price is for all of them lol.

FB MP is a fickle place and not monitored well for scammers. I had someone contact me about pieces I posted and it seemed legit. Then I got the "check", written on an AT&T account. The paper of the check didn't feel right, so I took it to my bank an sure enough it was a bogus check. The account and routing number were all wrong and it was not on "water marked" paper. My bank had me contact the FBI and they asked me to send then a copy of the correspondence, as well as a photo copy of the check. I got conformation that the stuff was received but haven't heard anything since. It's been almost two years and I will probably never hear anything. On the positive side, I actually sold the stuff to a neighbor who offered me more for it than I was asking.

It's not just FB MP.....the whole site isn't monitored well for scammers and nothing ever happens even when they are pointed out. However, I haven't had anyone try to scam my page in a good while now. As for selling stuff on FB MP, I don't buy anything unless it's local and I do the same thing when selling.

Yeah, I've been told several times that I shouldn't allow anyone to come to my home but I've been selling parts etc from my home since the 70's and had just one ahole show up thinking he was getting a running and driving car. It was advertised in the local as a roller with no engine, trans or interior. He knew what it was because he hired a tow truck to pick it up. He wanted to argue after telling him to leave and did leave after turning to grab my shot gun. He left very quickly at that.

A "good" FB car group, that is specific to a brand, model, as in say for example, Early A Body Mopar ( just making up a name) will have administrators that actively look for scammers and BS. That is no guarantee.

Last week I was looking for a Ford part. I found a group and it had a guy selling the part I needed and he was not an administrator( usually a few guys started the site and "own" the site), but he was a "volunteer guy" been on there a couple of weeks. I looked up his personal site. Not good. He would not take Paypal, (a tip off as to a scammer right there), but hie finally sent me his Paypal address, I tried to send hjm 1$, and it immediately sent a "security alert"! I contacted the admin- istrator and he was immediately history! Sad.

I buy parts of the guys at certain groups and always ones I have bought from before and/or verified as good.
