How are Ceramic coatings applied?

Are ceramic coatings applied different than powder coatings?

Are the application temperatures different, or is it just the type of material applied?

Can someone please tell me the difference.

I believe most of the ceramic coatings are applied wet, generally by dipping while power coatings are applied dry via "static cling". Ceramics are then heat cured at a far higher temerature than powder coating.

The shop near me that does high temp ceramic coatings applies as an electrostatically sparyed powder then bakes in an oven at 700. To get the shinny silver look they then tumble the part.

I've seen some available (to the DIY'er) that are sprayed on like paint and then cured in an oven at 400-500 degrees.
