How bad are BFGoodrich Radial T/A

.First question: do they have to be raised white letters? If not, way better tires are everywhere.
If white letters are mandatory, there are several tires as good or better for less money, but the second question is: what is available in Switzerland?

I have had BFG's mostly because of the look and availability. I have had white letter yellowing issues with the 255/60-15's. They aren't the most grippy tires but I have 318's so that really isn't an issue. Performance in the rain? I don't drive my cars in the rain if I can help it. The biggest issue today with RWL tires is finding the sizes you need (if you run different sizes) made by the same MFG.

Summit has a lot of tires available but a word of caution. If you have an issue, like I did with the yellowing letters, they will want you to go to a local dealer for warranty. My local dealer didn't want to go to bat for me because I didn't buy the tires from them. (and rightly so)

I LOVE the looks of BFG. Ive never put them thru their paces so cant attest to the performance side, but im fine with what they provide for me. RWL are harder to find, so Cobras might be next with my dog-dish and steelies.

dont need white letters. I make redliners on the sidewall like on my Satellite. The wheels in back of the Cuda are lost in the wheelhouse, so i change to 15x7 steelies. Endresult should be top one

The BFG's look the best on a Classic. I guess if your trying to race around corners or your a hard core Drag Racer they might not work as well as a speciality tire. No it's not going to hook like a Drag Radial, but they are good all around tires and look the best-for the most part.

Some names, maybe look a little funny and IDK if I want those in RWL.

Ran 295 50 15s on my charger in highschool.
They lasted 6 months.
Sure make a nice rubber ball though when you scoop up the smoke show evidence lol

Yeah and it's just flat out dreadful to admit Mastercraft is better than anything. lol

GripMax is 440 Traction A Temperature B. They also have a 98H speed rating, which is 130 MPH, better than the Goodrich S rating of 112. For what all that's worth.

Me too, always have, always will. BUT.... the last pair I bought, the lettering starting turning brown within a few months. Ill never buy another BFG now.

Only summer driveway
Minimal use
No drag strips
Probably some burn outs !
I’m in a bit of a jam because I need them for a safety certificate in a couple days.

I run 215 70R-14 (14x5.5 SBP stock steel wheels) on my 67 Dart, front and rear, Cooper Cobra. I'm one year shy of the 10 year mark and they have been good tires. Plenty of grip and the white letters WILL clean up with typical white sidewall tire cleaners unlike BFGs. My only complaint is on the 5.5 wide rim (minimum for the 215s) they look a bit buldgy.

Now that Coker owns them, they are too expensive, getting harder to find the correct sizes and as mentioned if running 2 different sizes in the front from the rear for that look trying to find the same tire and style in both sizes is becoming more difficult. Then you have the brown letter issues even if you do find the correct sizes
